Courtyard by Marriott Erie Ambassador Conference Center

We were passing through Erie during our road trip and we're forced to hunker down for the night due to a nor-easter. We walked into a dark Courtyard seeking a room for the night. They had lost power but that did not stop them. They broke out pen and form and manually checked us in, found us a large room to accommodate our party (2 adults, 2 kids, and 2 dogs) and just generally did their best to make us feel comfortable despite the circumstances. They were very professional and hospitable considering and in spite of the circumstances. As for subcategories: The room could have used a bit of maintenance but was generally quite cozy. The service, as already stated, was incredible. And the location was quite cool. We hadn't ever thought of Erie as a road trip pitstop but we're thinking of making it a regular. They had a nice assortment of restaurants and entertainment options as well as being on one of the great lakes.

It's a good mid way stop between home and Illinois. Place is usually clean, well kept. Some rooms seem like they're a bit more broken in than others, some seemingly half empty like they could use a couch, table, anything, Otherwise, the place is fine. Stayed here a half dozen times over the last couple years and have no real complaints.

Stayed a week for work. Pretty centrally located. Lots of restaurants close-by, even walking distance. I had some issues with no hot water and let them know. The staff are all friendly. The bat is closed on Monday or I world have used it.

It seems to be kept up well, although I don't know how long it's been here. The room was quiet and warm. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The price was great, too. We ate at the Bistro for a light dinner and then for a coffee and oatmeal for breakfast. It was all good. A definite place to stay. (December 2024).

Room was fine but shower was very dirty we did not use it. When we entered the soap was unwrapped and immediately thrown away

Stayed here as a stopover for a long drive. The hotel is well kept and the rooms are very clean. No funny smells, comfortable rooms and the shower was divine! I didn't use the pool, but it looked lovely. I was surprised that breakfast is not offered, but would've been a nice-to-have. My only other suggestion is for the front desk staff to be more personable. The young man who checked us in had very little personality, and neither did the young lady who checked us out. If she bothered to ask how our stay was, I would've provided the positive feedback. They were not rude by any means, but there are certain expectations for workers in the hospitality industry. The location is excellent as there are tonnes of shops and restaurants nearby. Overall, I would recommend staying here.

We were home for Christmas travel, this past December, and my siblings and I have grown our crews to too-big for the old 3 bedroom ranch at Mom and Dad's, so we all 3 booked here. Christopher B. and Robert H., in particular, went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. I cannot speak more highly of their hospitality and professionalism making sure that we 6 adults and 5 kids across our bank of rooms were taken care of and without want during the stay. From the Bonvoy credit for snacks, to the pool being well-kept and a source of much fun for the kids, the stay was fantastic! I am sorry that it took me this long to review, but I didn't want to let it go unsaid, the wonderful experience we shared at the Courtyard. We also had good times with Mom and Dad, too and they even got to come and watch the kids swim, which grandparents do love to do. Thanks to all who made this stay so enjoyable! We will be back the next time we are all through Erie again. Thanks and take care!

Rooms were a little dated. Peeling paint on balcony. Location is convenient to interstate 90 and interstate 80. Short drive to downtown Erie and the Lake. The café in the hotel is good. Pool area is nice with a large pool, dedicated kiddy pool , large hot tub and a sauna.
